from the stable of the hall of champions Bible Text=; Matthew 4:1-11 A close look at the temptation of Jesus makes me wonder how man can overcome them because any man would cheaply fall for them. Christ was hungry, in dire need of food. There was an offer, “turn these stones to bread, it’s what you can do because you’re the son of God”. The devil is subtle. He [first] came up with what man can fall cheaply for. And that’s what he’s still doing to Christians daily! While He [Jesus] turned water to wine, He didn’t turn a stone to bread. This is because He recognised when “turning of things” is needed. He was able to achieve this because; i. He was Spirit-filled : He understood the fact that ANYTHING from the devil is fake. Of course, it’s not a crime to do that, but devil made it a crime. Devil devised the idea and anything from the devil is a no-no for Christians. From the stable of the hall of champions Lie #1 : Sex is no big deal. Wrong! Sex is a huge deal. It ties two people together forever (Genesis 2:24), even if they never speak to each other again. You can't escape the memories of sharing the most intimate act of all. That's why God wants us to save sex for the person we commit our lives to—the person we marry. Lie #2 : You can be a "technical" virgin. In God's eyes, staying a virgin means more than just not having sex (Matthew 5:27-28). It means keeping your mind, body, and spirit sexually pure. Messing around, touching each other in private places and doing "everything but" just don't fit into that picture. Lie #3 : Sex equals love. It's true, at least for many, that sex equals an emotional tie of some sort—one that might seem like love. But here's a news flash: many treat sex as more of a physical thing than an emotional one. From the stable of the hall of champions Bible Text=> Matthew 7:13-14 “Broad is the way that leads to destruction”. This way is broad because it accommodates anything—loads of sin, little weights! It’s pathetic that many walk in this way, even the so-called Christians. They allow “little sins” to take hold of their lives. On the other hand, the narrow way’s motto is: “lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth easily beset you.” (Hebrews 12:1-2). This way knows that everyone has a weight (weakness etc) and tells those who are ready to pass through to life to lay aside these weights (Remember only those who want LIFE). It supports self discipline. Only few people find this narrow way because only few do its bidding. Finding the narrow way is what every heaven- bound Christian must do DAILY.
